Project Details

Project Description: The South Fraser Perimeter Road (SFPR) project is part of the Province’s Gateway Program, which will improve roads and bridges for people, goods and transit in Metro Vancouver. The SFPR, approximately 37 km long, is a new four-lane, 80 km/hr route along the south side of the Fraser River, extending from Deltaport Way in Southwest Delta to 176th Street, including connections to Highway 1, 15, 17, 91, 99 and to TransLink’s Golden Ears Bridge Connector Road.

The SFPR will offer goods movers an efficient transportation corridor, while restoring municipal roads as community connectors by reducing truck and other traffic in residential neighbourhoods. Project construction is scheduled for completion in 2013. The SFPR will be jointly funded by the federal and provincial governments.
